Today was a blistering (105+) Arizona June day, so we uncorked a bottle of this inexpensive ($4.49) 2008 Yellow Tail Shiraz Cabernet blend and adjoined to poolside. This was our first sampling of this offering. The wine was pretty much as expected, a simple, fruit forward (confected?) cocktail wine that really was quite nice by the pool. Given the price, it ain't that bad. We'll give it a go again under similar circumstances.
Bottle was harsh when first opened. I let it bottle decant for ~40minutes, then sit in my glass an additional 10. The wine became much more pleasant, with subtle fruit flavors, a nice finish, and no harshness.
