Pale, cloudy ruby with plenty of garnet. Honestly, I held on to this bottle for sentimental reasons - it was signed by the Calhoun family several years before the 2011 sale. While still offering some classic California Pinot Noir aromas of dried red and back fruits, cola and toast, this was thin and hollow on the palate. Alas.

Bought on release and cellared. Rich, balanced and elegant. Not very complex but holding very well, possibly in part to the 14.9% abv. Nothing to gain with additional age.

Fantastic wine, PnP. Still has great fruit and structure. This is at its apex and i recommend drinking now. Red fruits, savory mushroom, etc.
