Opened and let slow ox for an hr. Drank over the next 90 min. Air certainly helped. Spectacular nose. Baking spices, touch of vanillin, red cherries, hint of orange rind. Good balance. Some development, with hints of tertiaries emerging. Really good now.

Much better than previous bottle. Spectacular nose. Baking spices, touch of vanillin, red cherries, hint of orange rind. Good balance. Some development, with hints of tertiaries emerging. Makes me wonder - should I cellar my remaining bottle for an extra year or two?

Nice nose of sweet, ripe, black fruit. Less appealing palate, sadly. Perhaps going downhill? Lack of acidity hurts; also, a bit clunky and disjointed. A bit cloying, perhaps due to the acidity deficit. I assume this was better 2-3 yrs ago?

Lots of dark fruit upfront. Nice spice. Has a meaty aspect. Had a glass the second day and lost some fruit. More earth came through. Should pair well with grilled meats. Would probably go ahead and drink any remaining bottles.
