Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • A good inky core with brick on the rim. Cassis, blackberry, cedar, cigar ash punch the nose announcing the wine’s arrival. With more of the same on the palate intensified by a nice peppery bite. Resolved tannins make this a delight to drink over a couple of nights while holding its structure very steady. Decidedly above the Grand Venuer, but not as grand as the Texier, it nevertheless acquits itself rather well. 14% alc. With penne pasta under a tomato based and lamb sausage sauce. Recommended.
