Followed this over 3 hours without decant. Deep red color. Initially showed subtle aromas of creamy blue cheese (Humbolt Fog?). After a couple hours, it changed to the deepest cherry, almost blood! Then finished as burnt campfire embers. Wine is in good shape and should drink well for a while.

Dark, full bodied and savory with ferrous and licorice undertones. More on the meat and soil side than perfume and roses. Deep more than broad, at this point the wine has come to outstanding balance and everything comes together into a cohesive beautiful wine at peak. No reason to hold. beautiful 93

Northern Willamette Valley: No formal notes taken as this was consumed at a restaurant after a long day of tasting. The cork was in amazing shape and extracted perfectly cleanly. While slightly muted, this offered plenty of exuberant structure throughout and actually tasted fairly young. I look forward to exploring a future bottle in more detail, perhaps with some decant.

Closed, after 2-3 hours opens up with aromas of truffles and chocolate. Medium body, but quite powerful aftertaste with similar characteristics as the bouquet. Still and fresh wine still in its youth.
