  • 1995 WILLIAMS SELYEM SONOMA COAST PINOT NOIR- Amazingly, I do not remember ever having a flawed bottle of WS Pinots over all of the decades; this one was severely oxidized.

  • 1995 WILLIAMS SELYEM SONOMA COAST PINOT NOIR- with a still youthful medium red color, the aromatics were simply magnificent; again, there was an abundance of cola and spice to support the red raspberry, red cherry and surprisingly some blueberry fruit showed up; it had lovely balance, feel and length; great bottle.

  • An attractive wine that is at nice place. The nose is very representative of the Sonoma Coast with red cherries, earth and lemon peel. Light in the mouth, it makes up for the lack of definition in the juicy red fruit with a mouthwatering acidity. While there wasn't a tremendous amount of nuance early on, it developed some interesting overtones with air. That said, it got really flat after around two hours losing the early vivacity it showed. Still, a very pleasant food-friendly wine.
