We had zero expectations from this wine. It was excellent. All elements seemed to mix after a 90 minute decanting. Lots of big Cab flavors. We would recommend drinking now.

Decanted 1.5 hours. Very enjoyable. Expected it to be a little past based on previous reviews but had a lot of life left. Great example of softer bordeaux style that you don’t see with a lot of CA cabs these days. Some cherry fruit giving way to caramel and mineral earth tones the longer it sat. Worth the wait.

After cellaring for 18 years I was not expecting much from the wine. My to my surprise it had a nice oaky aroma upon opening. Upon tasting I immediately tasted the oak yet all its fruits were gone. I let it sit for about 30 minutes and tried it again. It opened up a little emitting a slight mineral taste. Then when eaten with a prime ribeye, i got the faintest taste of caramel or vanilla. The wine did not have along finish. While the wine was past its prime, it was pleasant to drink and had no ill aromas or taste. I was pleasantly surprised

Recently received as a gift. Our impression is that this is well past its prime, but is still very drinkable. I liked it more than K who felt that there was some bitterness in the structure (which probably was masked by fruit when the wine was younger). If you have any, I would certainly say drink up
