Nose - Blackberries, vanilla Taste - Light start that deepens through the finish. Full of berries, hard for me to distinguish a particular type. Finish is smooth, dash of pepper and some cocoa powder. Not a sweet Zin, which for me is great.

(C. G. Arie Zinfandel Shenandoah Valley) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-a little too oaked for me; surrounded by beautiful black raspberries and ripe cherries; PALATE-the oak on the nose is not as prevalent on the palate which I like; a little black pepper and a lot of dark chocolate; this is NICE; it's nice to get a Zin with some bottle age; really interesting; I highly recommend; very good; with the bottle age, this has some great elegance on the firm, but silky finish; GV-89/90

Very smooth, light tannins, solid flavor, nice age on it, not too sweet and not too big

Thanksgiving dinner. Great wine, loved by all. Very mellow tannins. Wish I had more.
