Not sure what is the disconnect between my experience and the previous tasters, but here is my "analysis":
PnP - Strong aromas of earth/soil, dark berries/cherries, and distinct notes of oak, vanilla, and smoke. Tinch of mint perhaps?. At 14.5% alcohol, it is surprising that the alcohol does not come through on the nose, and this wine just smells like velvet.
The flavor profile is very much in line with what was expected from the nose; I did not find it falling apart in the mid-palate either. Good balance with mild-focused tannins, and a nice medium finish. Somehow was nice and crisp yet fleshy at the same time.
I would recommend not aerating or decanting this one as I found many of the more "complex" aspects blew off after time. Drink now.

Heard about this from a friend, but should have paid more attention to the CT reviewers, with whom I agree- strangely bitter and somewhat thin, especially for grenache.

The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Rich & Dana's): Notes of currant, green pepper and spice, developing a bit of a jammy quality with air. Flavors of red fruit and spice with a distinctive green streak running through the finish.

Strawberry, green tea. Disappears on the finish. Insubstantial on its own, but not a bad match with pizza.

On a clearance sale... shows some grenache characteristics, but overall a bit thin and leaves with a strange bitterness. Eh.
