Seriously brambly raspberry, mint, bing cherry, new leather nose with aspects of that mature Ridge strawberry preserves already falling into place. The oak manifests itself as fresh sawn cedar, there's a brief whiff of alcohol, and a powerful fruit sweetness - not sugar but ripeness - plus good acidity, leaving a cranberry sauce sweet/tart finish. 75% Alicante/25% Zinfandel, this actually reminds me a lot of good Priorat with its zingy, energetic sweet berry fruit. I'd say this is mature but will probably cruise along for many more years as well.
Dark and extremely red. Sexy seductress nose. Blood and berries on a broad flavor specctrum with fidelity from cheese rind to orange juice to fresh cherry (at 12 years old!). May vere a little sweet but beautiful concentration. Dark and intense; this has years still ahead of it; a highlight of the Thanksgiving table.
