Plummy red fruit, with a bit of funky herbaceousness. Ok, but kind of simple and rustic. I've had better Washington Merlots in that price range.

A little young but well balanced. Taste too much grape for a 5 year old wine. Smell is smooth. Tannins are evident but balanced.
