Surprised me. Golden honey color. Nose of butter, vanilla, and granny smith apples. At a cooler temp, the wine didn't give much away on the palate. I let it warm to room temp and it was rich and oppulent. Bright green apple, rich oak, and lemon zest on the finish.

This still had some life left so I was happy. Light straw color, light pear on the nose, and rounded fruit. This was not big like when I had some in its prime days, but still enjoyable with herbs de Provence roasted chicken.

Pleasantly surprised with very similar notes as cawineaux's 2012 notes!
