Bottle is still show very well. Cork was not in good shape. Some fruit still present, but earth tones shined, fine tannins. Bottle still has plenty of life, color was very solid. I would say it could be peaking, but has many years left.
Dinner Party (My Place): Fantastic aromas of white pepper and flowers, rich and fat. Palate delivers on this promise, especially on the finish. There is some rich fruit in there, but it is almost obscured by the density of the wonderful, mouth-coating, velvety texture. This show that it would be a good idea to bury some of those more recent Lytton Syrahs for a while.
