Dark fruit, some grippyness, very good and juicy. The finish fell off though. Have one more will decant it for a couple hours first to see if opens. We popped and poured this one. .

Served with boneless wagyu ribeye steak, baked potato, popovers. Look: pretty (almost sparkling) garnet with tinge of Mahogany at the rim. Sniff: lovely nose, floral + dark fruit. Taste: dry, lovely tannins, medium weight. Jane calls this a mellow wine, well balanced, acid spot on, smooth and silky, with a sneaky subtle finish.
Kick myself that I only bought one bottle back when.

Monthly Tasting Group EEE #046; Côte Rôti (@ JWS): Expressive bouquet with dark berries and some red fruits as well, licorice, animals and a touch of barnyard. On the palate a sweet start with dark fruits, minerals, iron, some pepper, firm and juicy acidity and good, round tannin with a good bite. Still in its early maturity stage. Around 2018 possibly even a bit better. For this evening 91+?
