  • Rich Trimpi opened this in honor of Patty Green's recent passing. Served along with a 2011 Wind Gap Sonoma Coast Pinot. This had a little darker, earthier nose, with just the faintest hint of rubber that added interest. Darker toned and slightly tangy. Nice.

  • The second (and last) bottle from the Berserkerday library pack. Showing beautifully. On the pop 'n pour, seemed to lack depth, but it seemed to fill out as it got some air. Glorious Oregon Pinot typicity, bright, fleshy mouthfeel, good earthy character, very well-balanced. Absolutely loved this with flatbread and assorted tapas-styled snacks. Not bad at all for the lowest level PGC Pinot in a "off" vintage!

  • From the 2016 Berserker Day library release special. Fully open and alive with zippy petits fruits rouge, mushroom, earth, pipe tobacco. Great harmony, a bit slender and compact maybe, but the bottle vanished in no time all the same.

  • Dark ruby in color with the slightest of bricking at the edges, this wine reveals forest floor, Asian spices, black raspberry and minerals on the nose. The mouth feel brings very soft, subtly sweet tannins and earthy mushroom elements. The finish has surprisingly bright acidity given the age of this wine. 13.0% abv.

Purchased for $27US as part of the Berserker Day offering of cellar release directly from the winery, this is about as good of a wine to be made from a difficult vintage. It has plenty of life to it but why wait.

  • Cloudy maroon color accented with orange. On the initial opening there was a distinct mustiness, but after two hours open it was replaced by sweet red fruits and a hint of mushroom.

Flavors of red fruits and earth accented by citrus. This is in a nice place right now, and everything is in balance and the tannins are completely integrated. Probably won't last much longer but quite nice now.
