Retail $25. Classic Alsatian Gewurztraminer through and through. Lychee and pineapple with a touch of sweetness, the acidity kicks in halfway and persists through the memorable and lengthy finish. This is precisely what I look for in a Gewurz: the wine is very floral and can be a bit too sharp without the right amount of sugar left in. It can also be cloying and flabby with too much sweetness. This? Like Goldilocks: just right. Outstanding. 91-93 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com

Was concerned this was passing its prime... Wow was I wrong, this wine still has a long way to go! Straw yellow in color with green reflections and set by a thick watery rim. Clear with no sediment or gas and showing high viscosity. Star bright. Decanted and served closer to 60 degrees. Moderate-plus intensity aromas are complex showing big lychee and mandarin fruit, lilac and garden flowers, dried apricot, mango and over-ripe pineapple with mineral and river rock, dried banana and light pine and spice scents. On the palate, off dry with medium-plus acid keeping it from weighing down on the palate and adding brightness. Open knit and very giving on the palate with flavors of dried apricot, lychee, mandarin, peach compote, dried bananas, honeysuckle, apple blossom, mineral, baking spice and pine resign.
Overall, drinking exceptionally well and has life left in it. Elegant, expressive and a great buy!

PnP, served non-blind. Youthful, bright straw color, no sign of age. Aromas are dominated by rose water and lychee fruits. Fading fruit, higher acids than most 05s, so it's somewhat austere by itself; mostly dry. Still enjoyable, but time to drink up, I think. Last of a (really nice) case. 13,0% abv

I just do not drink enough Gewurz. I tend to buy a bunch to pair with my wife's Asian cooking, but since Alsatian versions tend to age so well, I hold on to them tighter than my son clings to his last lollipop. Classic Gewurz nose and palate with plenty of fruit and residual sugar. Really a fantastic wine. Excellent.
