Eventually opened up to extremely rich with a touch of licorice on the finish. Mostly red fruit with strawberries & cranberries primarily. Almost a pinot noir type of fruit profile. Not very intense or sweet fruit but big/smooth tannins with just the right amount of oak makes this a really delicious, well balanced wine. A bit surprised as the first bottle was no where near this good, but perhaps it's hitting it's stride now as it was early in the year I first tried this wine. (592 views) | |
