Alive and kicking! Exemplifies the essence of Syrah with sour cherry, healthy tannins and earthy, roasted nuts. Medium finish with a rush of berries. Paired with lamb, this was excellent with at least two years of shelf life left.

A decent QPR (price/quality) drink but this won't wow very many people. A non-distinct nose of some black fruit and pepper or smoke. Mid palate of tart cherries and creamy strawberries but very disjointed. Finishes smooth and surprising long for a $20 wine.
This is a serviceable wine at $15-20 but it will fall short of most Syrahs above $30.
Remember you don't drink the label.

What a difference a year makes. This '05 syrah was much better than the '06 that I tried several weeks ago. I got the some nice plummy fruit on the nose with just the right blend of pepper and spice. Tannins were soft and pleasant. Very easy to drink even without food. Finish was a little short-medium in length.

This wine is light-med bodied and pretty boring on the palate. Very short finish, very little tannin, mild fruit. Pretty meh.
