Golden orange color (Full bottle) Burnt Sugar, dried apricots, orange peel, a little lemon zest all nose. Zesty orange, sugar, pancake type flavors. Nice stuff. A little simple, but enjoyable.

Brown color with a weak nose and a bouquet of dilute honey, not up to the residual acidity. Modestly sweet, but thin and only just drinkable. This wine was clearly over the hill, and very different from its slightly younger sister wine from 1996. That wine was full-bodied and unctuous. The format (375 ml versus 750 ml) probably made the difference.

Had for dessert and it had a wonderful sauternes bouquet and beautiful amber color. Good apricots and some vanilla, and upon tasting was quite sweet but not that acidic. The structure as a result was a bit cloying after the first several sips. The finish was reasonably long, but as this tasting note is postmortem by some time, I can't remember specifics.
Nonetheless it was a very nice wine, but honestly was mildly disappointing given how I had put this on a pedestal when I bought it 13 years ago.

with candied citrus peel. Decent sautenes like nose. Sweet flavours with out much acid. Perhaps I would have liked this better if it was served blind to me, my predjudice for this winery is a crutch I must bear.

Wine Dinner at 12B (Vancouver, BC): No formal notes. From 375ml. Opened and served right away. Drinking well now. Excellent.
