Deep garnet color. Plums, cherries, spice and earth on the nose. Flavors mimic the nose. Mid palate shows forward fruit. Finish has a tart quality that came across a bit harsh. Otherwise very nice wine. Day 3 (stored in fridge), finish mellows after a couple of days. Nice Pinot in the under $20 range.

A slightly dirty nose with some smoky ash. Sweet at first, with some savoury fruit, a touch of dryness and a gentle warming at the back of the throat as it slips down. This is deliciously smooth with enough character to keep interest, a bloody good Pinot, 89-90pts.

Cinnamon, ripe nuts, Meursault notes. Good mid-weight wine.
