Fabulous nose right out of the bottle. Dark berries, cassis, ripe pear. Flavors are spicy, fruity with wood and incense. Finish is complex to start then ends on a very long note of liquorice and tannins.

Decanted 2hrs. Nose of red fruit and black pepper. The flavors are of black currant along with raspberry and a streak of blueberry running through it. This has an unusually open and lithe, velvet texture that persists on the pepper and spice infused finish. Tannins are smooth and fine along with low acidity.

Funky, skanky aromas, but rich and flavorful and smoothly balanced. Probably drinking at its best now; wouldn't sit on this much longer.

Still a little on the young side. Raisins, molasses, blackberry and mint. Nice compliment to our flatiron steak and grilled brussel sprouts.
