  • Big dark fruit steering towards chocolate and coffee. Tannins are very gripping at this point but a nice prune-laden finish. Most people would find this delicious!

  • My experiences with wines from this part of Spain are essentially nonexistent. What a surprise this was! Exotic nose of earth, subtle charcoal, lithe red fruit and dried florals. Medium-bodied with a nice finish.

  • Drank over two days. First opened for 45 minutes and hardly opened. First that comes to mind is the ridiculous dark color! Very dark ruby color with violet ring. Appealing. Quite close on nose but something is showing... until something comes over and pretty much ruins it. This have a suspicious smell that inmediately makes me check the cork. Tried again next day and pretty much the same. Almost nothing I am getting looks like to the recomendations or the tasting notes I read from this wine. Total disappointment. Either this has nothing to do with what I expected or was possibly corked. I'm puzzled. Will give another try some other time. Obviously, no score.

  • Very elegant Montsant wine, a Garnatxa-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Syrah blend, that was aged for 9 months in new French Allier-barriques. Intense dark red colored wine with violet reflections at the rim and a powerful bouquet of elderberry, cassis, wet leather and tones of gunpowder and yeast. Concentrated and utterly fine balanced palate, with present but already well integrated tannins that support the fruit from start to finish. Solid, harmonious aftertaste. Needs some air time. The best „Dido“ I tasted hitherto. Drink it now through 2012.
