Popped, breathed in bottle 90 minutes, consumed over next 90. Wonderful aromatics. I could have been happy just to sniff this all night and the show continued on the palate. Complex, well balanced, medium bodied, lovely lingering finish, this has developed to the point where, as it opens in the glass, the various flavors become a tapestry where there are so many aspects to the flavor profile, they are so subtle and well-knit, it becomes difficult to pinpoint and identify all of the components. On the other hand, sometimes it’s better to turn off the analytical mind and just enjoy. Sadly, my last bottle of a six-pack purchased on release, but I think this was a pretty good time to drink up.

From a well-stored bottle, base neck. Clear, medium garnet. Fully mature. Spectacular nose of cured meats, forest floor and humidor filled with fine cigars. Fleshy mid-palate with excellent length and balance. Fully resolved tannins. Akin to a grand cru burgundy from a great vintage. Superb!

100% Grenache. Powerful, fruit sweetness, some pepper. A bit too extracted. 93
