  Lots of pickles on the nose, like pickled okra with sweet relish, cranberry sauce, sweet plums, all sorts of roasted meats. The palate is jammy and ripe with moderate acidity and flavors of black cherry jam, mulled strawberries. Nice grip from the tannins, and I get a lot of pepper, mesquite, grilled meats, barbecue sauce, and coffee grounds. Holding well and totally delicious. Pretty cool to taste this a whole decade since the last bottle.

  Decanted about an hour but probably didn't need it. Started off with a nice nose and mature palate but seemed to degrade over a couple hours. Drink up.

  Masterclass with Joe Czerwinski: Hommage to Philippe Cambie (The Dolder Grand, Zurich): Glass: Stölzle Universal
  Wine served chilled, at starting of the tasting probably 10-12 deg Celsius.
  Clear, medium garnet color.
  Beautiful developed nose, deep and dense, some tar, smoke, fine fruit. On the palate very salty and smoky, good acidity that gives the wine a nice freshness. Zests, cloves and black olive. Silky texture. Deep and dense, really complex. Wonderful length. Full peak.
