Although Cali chards aren't really my thing, tonight it just seemed the thing that called me for some reason. The Rasmussen is a pretty well made wine. It has some buttery oak, but it doesn't bury the fruit, which is some lush ripe pear, maybe some guava, some lemon oil. Retains enough acidity to keep it crisp. Even a bit of minerality on the finish.
