Wines on Holiday (All South African, mainly MCC) (South Africa): R160 (restaurant), almost colourless, crisp and a bit grassy, in a calm way, some ripe notes. Nice enough XX(X)

Honeymoon in South Africa; 12/16/2008-12/23/2008 (Londolozi, Cape Town, Constantia, Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschoek - South Africa): Pale greenish gold colour. Bread and chalk on the nose, along with a layer of white fruit and just the slightest touch of grass. Clean, crisp palate, marked with lean acidity that brought a real nice balance to gooseberries, spice and minerals. I found this very well delineated and focused, and everything just pulled together nicelu towards the finish which showed a touch of bittersweet wet stone flavours.
