  • Forgot this one in the cellar. Normacorc closure. Expecting an oxidixed, brown mess, but instead got a meaty, gamey smooth and enjoyable mature wine. Poured half of the bottle up into a split and sealed with a screw cap. Just as enjoyable the second night although faded a bit. Score is based on the first night. Not sure if the organic grapes, the older vines or the blend is the factor that played the biggest role in keeping this wine alive. I payed less than 10 for this. Quite a deal

  • Dense violet garnet color. Fruit forward nose of boysenberry, spice, and garrigue. Medium body. Lots of fruit, spice and alcohol in the mouth. Tasty, if heavy-handed.

  • A 50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. Supposedly from 85+year old vines. Neocork closure. Organic.

Very sweet Grenache tuti fruiti predominates on the nose and palate. It's like drinking cherry flavored grape juice. Totally lacking in structure. Surprisingly the finish is quite nice with spice and black peeper, but not enough to overcome the other shortcomings. I've like many of the wines from this producer but this ain't one of them.
