In the bouquet there were rust and mushrooms. On the palate however the wine really showed it was corked. Also without being corked the wine would have been too old.

A really excellent wine. I decanted for about 4 hours and it showed its age beautifully with a nice rib roast. The cork broke in half but I was able to extract it. Had a nice rusty hue to it and some wonderful barnyard types of flavors. One of the nicest old Bordeauxs I have tasted. Probably near the end of its life so I was lucky to catch it.
