Excellent Syrah/Cab/Petit Sirah blend. The red fruit of the cab hits you first, then you get the peppery and licorice notes from the Syrah. Very well integrated and nicely aged. 1 hr decant paired with ribeye and a toddler who sat patiently at the table, ate all his food, and didn’t get up once (jk).

92 and maybe higher. With the help of a Versevino this gem of a bottle tasted as good as it gets. It made the wonderful meal at Caleb's even more enjoyable. The rich dark color, the taste of all of the deep fruits--and the linger made this a pleasant experience. Caleb stopped by the table and commented that he doesn't see a lot of VA, but when he does they are all great. I'll make it a point to bring something for him on the next visit.

This needed a couple hours of decanting, and what a difference it made. Tannic and tight to smooth and expressive. Slightly sour, yet sweet, layers of blackberries and blueberries dominate, with some sweet vanilla Oak and hints of green veggies. Only complaint is that the finish was a tad thin and only about 10 seconds.

92 is where it started--and it could have been higher. Poured through a Versevino, this bottle just opened quickly. The color, fruits, nose and taste were as good as it gets. VA is always consistent; and never disappoints.

This Syrah, Cab, Petite Verdot blend had good, juicy black fruits. Peppery finish from the Syrah was faint, but present. Good body. Matured tannins.
