(Chateau de Tracy Pouilly-Fumé) A rich, golden colour for a northerly Sauvignon. Fresh lime and citrus fruit at first, followed by slightly richer melon notes. Perhaps some subtle smoky, stony notes. Rich, textured, with a touch of fatness, there is plenty of concentration on the palate. Grippy, tingly fruit acids behind the green-white fruit flavours. This is good Pouilly-Fumé that will improve in bottle for a year or two and may hopefully show a little more character typical of the appellation if permitted.
