This is our 7th bottle of this vintage Onyx over the last three years, definitely some bottle variation noticeable, but most consistent finding is that it still does much better with lots of air time. Suggest a two hour decant to best enjoy.
Still a bit tight, but very tasty. Blueberries, cocoa and tannins. Do yourself a favor and let it open a bit before you pour. Had this with a well-marbled and grilled ribeye steak and it was delicious. Definitely stood up to the richness of the beef.
