Perhaps it is fading a bit, but there is still more than enough to make this an exciting, tasting experience. Loads of cocoa, earth, green, leafy herbs and red fruits with a savory edge are found on the nose and palate. Soft textured, slightly fading, crisp, red fruits with hints of earth, bitter cocoa and tobacco in the finish. If you are lucky enough to have a bottle, drink up as there is no reason to hold this any longer.

Now, here's a wine I never thought I'd see again. After the explosion of truffles, earth, bitter chocolate, wet forest, cherry and hints of floral notes, the wine was pure silk on the palate. The spicy, red cherry finish was sublime.

Tasted double blind, this was a huge surprise on multiple levels. Truffles, earth, tobacco, dried pit fruit, all spice, coffee bean and forest floor scents started the aromatic fireworks. Silky textures with the velvet patina of age, coupled with an elegant, sweet, spice filled finish was a thrill a sip wine. This bottle tasted like a 20-30 year old wine.
