  • ChTR kokous 14.1.2009 (SKO-toimisto): Tasted double blind. Decanted for an hour. This was somewhat of a medium red with perhaps a hint of bricking. The nose was quite fruity with lots of plum and blackberry, a hint of rubber and whiff of licorice. On the palate it was quite sweet with some tannins and lots of dark fruits. A little bit of smoke and a slightly peppery as well. This was quite an enjoyable wine, I thought it had elements of a Rhone wine to it, and the sweetness made me think of Portugal, so I was surprised when it was revealed to be an Australian Sangiovese! 50+4+10+13+7=84
