Drinking well right now and not sure there is much of an upside left. Good, well made syrah. Nice fruit but not nearly as big as many of the others. Most of the tannins have integrated, plenty of acid to provide lift for the fruit. Nothing too complicated here but plenty to enjoy.
14.1% alcohol. Inky, fuller bodied, layered, and texturally smooth and polished with a rather dense, piercing/intense, yet plush core of blackberry and black raspberry fruit, along with suggestions of smoked meat, peppery spice, and game/earth that add interest and complexity. Shows good nerve, energy, and vibrancy for a ~7 year old lowly appellation syrah. Unreal this sold for only $20 off the mailing list (wish I bought more).
Really weird experience with this wine. I've not tasted it before, but it seemed pretty different than many notes posted here. This started off with a very prominent aroma of sweet corn and the palate showed very similar. Full mid-palate and long finish with dense fruit throughout.
Very nice middle-of-the-road modern syrah. Well-integrated, it really hit its stride with an hour of air. I would not hold these much longer - I'll be finishing my last bottle in the next couple months.
