This was a nice wine after about an hour of decanting. A little hot before that. Perfect balance of tanins. Vanilla, berries, slight graphite. Somewhat unidimensional, but delicious.

Mild acidity and somewhat mouthwatering, with velvet mouth feel and mild peppery finish. Blackberry/cherry and pepper taste. Fruit is subdued and spice/pepper nicely proportionate. A very easy drinking wine, not fruit forward or jammy

(Dashe Dry Creek Zinfandel) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-good red fruit (cranberry); a little tight; a little mint & dark chocolate; PALATE-pretty rich; very meaty and gamey (cured meats); great depth; a little hot on the back-end, but pretty balanced and good elegance; should cellar for 3-7 years; very well made; not overly complex, but quite balanced with great length; GV-90

Drank in 2014. Holds up very well after seven years. Full-bodied and full of spice. An excellent Zin

Good QPR for a Dry Creek ZIN. Dense fruit, deep rich zin nose with some kick and heat. Drank bottle too fast to see how it changed when it opened.
