  decanted 45 minutes after opening, and started drinking 20 minutes after decanting. Also still pretty tannic. Slightly more sweet on the palate, richer with smoky and grilled meats.

  decanted 45 minutes prior to serving. Initially pretty grassy but it wasn't corked. Smoky, inky, tannic on the palate. Quelle surprise. Some soy sauce and some fruit here, but overall this was much leaner and more French than expected.

  served more than 2½ hours after decanting. nicely balanced, a little smoke, a bit of leather, and still got good concentration. Just about my favorite wine tonight.

  decanted for an hour before serving. Smoky, minty, fragrant with woodsy notes. Still got the fruit, of course. Smooth on the palate. Drinking so well.
