A very pretty wine, I agree this screams old world. Aromas of potpourri, pepper, sour red fruit and brick dust. The palate shows sour cherries, floral notes and pepper. High acid, light tannins. A very different style than the big fruity syrahs but I like it.

This bottle was a little closed aromatically. Lots of smoke and black pepper, but no florals. Very tart red cherry fruit in the mouth, but mostly showing its structure for the moment. Either decant or hold.

Okay, I am back home so I'll take a moment to add my thoughts. I am definitely in the "love it" camp. It leans toward Cote Rotie on the nose. Very pretty and floral. With a light body and texture and fresh fruit flavors it showed CdP qualities. Certainly not like anything I have had from the new world. A pretty wine with big acidity. Seems like Oregon could have great potential with rhone grapes.

Amazing. Drinking really well. Aromatics kept me locked to the glass.

Great floral nose, definitely tart and tight, improved with air. Agree with others that this wine should be decanted for hours or hold.
