Vibrant, earthy, lots of quite simple fruit, good acidity; delicious and fresh. Its vigor is astonishing for a 30 yr old village Santenay. Actually made by André Chapelle of Santenay. 7

Outstanding - not decanted, opened up quickly and continued to develop over the hour or so that it was consumed. A touch of browning at the edge, but in general a lovely light colour, classic Burgundy nose, earthy, truffled, a touch of spice. On the palate, the length is excellent, the tannins have resolved themselves and the delicious earthy nose is extended by berries and a lovely aged pinot character.
