Juicy blue fruits on the nose. Fruit compote. Palate is more serious than many Barbera d'Alba that I've had. Palate coating and reasonably intense. A touch of wet clay. Hint of pepper. A savory almost sanguine side to the fruit. Loads of plum and plum skin.

Such an easy drinking wine. Quaffable, with a wonderful acidity that pairs well with good food and good company. Nothing deeply profound here, just a great drink.

Acidic black cherry, whiskey barrel, lightly spiced and medium bodied.
Drinking well but perhaps a bit over the hill.

Medium bodied, moderate fruit, very acidic. Not bad, but have enjoyed other Barbera's better.

Finished the last of my Vajra (d' Alba) with friends and family. Excellent choice.
