Beaujolais Bonanza (Sydney, Australia): Rubber, caramel and vegemite - quite awful on the nose. The palate is less offensive, but it is short and lacking in depth. I'm unsure if this was a sound bottle, but I did not like it.
Sour, unripe plum with -- perhaps only by the power of suggestion -- a quartz, stony line. Unpleasant by itself, but worked "okay" once the meal of flank steak marinated in BBQ sauce started. Pass at prices greater than a couple of bucks.
