  • We've visited this young, up-and-coming Texan winemaker at this winemaking facilities and have tasted from many of his barrels, so we knew we were in for a treat when we finally opened this wine! A blend of Cabernet, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, it is dark garnet with an intriguing nose and palate of black cherry, blackberry, a hint of cassis, vanilla and baking spices. Full-bodied with excellent intensity, this had an excellent mouthfeel with juicy tannins. This was very enjoyable, though was paired with Louis Martini's exclusive Los Ninos 5-varietal red blend, which was a bit more complex, aromatic, and longlasting than the Vicarious. Both were superb with grilled NY Strip steaks.
