Still drinking very well. Cherry and current flavors are still very evident. The wine also has earthiness or mineral component as well. Smooth on the finish.

Drank this with friends at 2850. This was absolutely lovely. Nice fruity nose and good balance of flavours on the palate. My instinct is telling me that this is drinking at its prime although it did open up once in the glass.

A Bricco delle Viole Vertical with Giuseppe Vaira (Fausto, Brooklyn, NY): [Double decanted at 11am.] Tart cherry nose. Thick sour cherry in the mouth. Juicy, tannic, young. Tasty cherries. Needs 5 years.

(From magnum; opened about 4 hours before tasting.) Cherries, cherry liqueur, cherry-like acidity, medicinal spices, almost burgundy-like.

Ledbury lunch with Keith Prothero: Shy on the nose, but on the palate very elegant with cherries and violets, velvety texture, so refined
