A great example of why Chateau Ste Michelle is one of our favorite wineries. A nice, dark, very heary pinot noir. Very smooth and slightly "toasty". It went beautifully with our salmon.

I had a second bottle with grilled salmon on 10/12/09. My previous experience with this was so bad that I thought it would be a good bottle to consume while my sense of taste and smell were severely affected by the flu. The result was that I thoroughly enjoyed it!

We had this with broiled marinated turkey breast on 4/2/09. It had an unusual bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, dirt and burnt wood aromas. The palate followed almost exactly except the burnt wood included some resin and charcoal flavors. It had prickly tannins, was sour and not tasty at all.

Extremely soft fruit aromas and flavors. Smoky, peppery, herbaceous, and cool toned. We all enjoyed it. Ready to drink now.
