Lost track of this in the cellar. I really figured it would be over the hill. No decant just poured. Deep in color it had a nose of blueberry and some earth. Dark fruit was still present with spices and tobacco. Good body with smooth tannins had me thinking it was still in its prime. And it was; for about a half hour. Then the fruit started to disappear and the structure started to break up slightly. It remained very drinkable but not the beauty that it started out as. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to drink this 4 or 5 years ago. Oh well....still had a nice wine for about an hour.

Dark, almost black core with a burgundy rim. Nose of spice and layers of damp forest. The taste is incredible. Time in the bottle has improved the wine and smoothed it out. Plum fruit comes through nicely. Each taste has something different. Nicely layered and nicely balanced. Wine rested 1.5 hours in the bottle after opening before tasting. Tasted during cooking and served with steak and it was great. Finish was nice and lone with nice peppery spice. Tannins seem to be mostly gone, so I think it needs to be drank now.
