  Light color. Zesty, with some mellon fruit flavors. No oaky, buttery character at all.

  Gold straw color in the glass. A rather muted nose of lemon, wax, oak and vanilla. The palate had a good amount of acidity and a medium mouth feel with lemon, green apple, cinnamon and oak. The finish was weak and short and the wine was not very complex. It's decent and not ridiculously buttery as so many California Chardonnay's can be. I prefer this style minus the secondary malo conversion but this wine just isn't showing enough, lacks complexity and the finish is so short it just isn't great. It's ok but nothing that will wow you. 50+4+10+14+5=83
