Pleasantly surprised by this. Medium ruby color with decent concentration. An enticing nose of soft currant, mocha and baking spices. Full and rich flavors of blackberries and chocolate with a moderate finish that plays out the integrated black fruits and allspice and cloves. A great food wine that is clearly meant for early consumption. I will seek out more of this.

Pretty decent wine. Well rounded and very drinkable. Highly food friendly. Not convinced of the value, but I think I got it on sale for about $15 so I think that's it's ok value at this price point.

This wowed me at an in-store tasting, but at home a couple of months later, it was just more like a solid table wine: enjoyable, no flaws, but little complexity and not a particularly good QPR at $17. Decent stuff, but no better than the occasional great value in the $8-$13 range (e.g. simple Spanish or Southern France stuff). This may be a bit more refined, with smoother tannins, but it didn't taste big, earthy and complex like the Bordeaux style blend it is.

This was not incredibly memorable but good. Too disjointed the first hour in the decanter (way too tannic and wood-y), but soon the edges mellowed out a bit and this became a nice quaffable red blend. May or may not repurchase. Let's see how other 2007 Washington blends turn out.
