At 15 years old, I am amazed this is still drinking OK - no oxidation. I am sure it would have been better 5 years ago. This Santa Ynez GSM still has a nice fruit intensity, favoring dark fruits, and still a pleasant acidity, which should make it go nicely with our tuscan seasoned pork cutlets.

Opened for about two hours. Dark purple with a lighter rim, very cloudy, not a huge body. Oh so faint aroma of oak blends in with fruity nose, mixed in with floral scent. Nice balance of tart raspberry and coffee, plenty of earth, somewhat acidic. Smooth spice and super subtle tannin gives way to decent jammy finish. This is nice now, if anything it has burned off some over-fruitiness from two years ago. Drink up.

Had some minor leakage that may have detracted from this wine at its best. Still, a very pleasant blend.

Delicious from the first taste to the last, a bunch of dark fruit, great tanins, very ready to drink, at its peak?
