Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.
Wow. What an excellent bottle of wine. I have been drinking a few dessert wines (including Sauternes) over the past few weeks, and none compared to this. Absolutely smooth and seamless with a rich taste. Delicate, but not weak. I have another, and although View from the Cellar notes 2025 as end of window, I see no reason to wait - it's so good now.
Lovely golden colour, rich honey and almond bouquet followed by lovely rich, luscious palate of ripe melon, orange marmalade and some crystalised fruit. Lovely balance with just the correct acid balance.
From a half bottle. Clear amber in colour; nose of very ripe creamy apricots and some honey with a touch of botrytis. Nice full body where the palate is getting sweet honeyed apricots and brown sugar; acidity is pretty much non-existent which makes this something you want to drink like right now. The finish is nice and long but fades abruptly.
