Can't believe how terrific this was at this age. 2nd of 3 bottles and it was different than the 1st... not as soft, but more powerful while both were elegant in the extreme.

Wine pairing dinner (Brian and Julie Z's): Tasted by mmoss on 11/20/2011 & rated 87 points: Tasted against a 2007 Beringer Napa Private Reserve Chard. More fruit and acid then Beringer and less rounded. The big problem here is the price and would expect a $40+ chard to be spectacular. Save some dollars and go with the Beringer.

Clear and bright medium gold. Toast, butter and honey aromas, a bit overshadowed by cigar. Otherwise, quite pleasant.

More oak than I usually like but still quite good. Drank the last 1/3 bottle on day two and it tasted better. Mel loved it.
