  (Drew McDougall Ranch Pinot Noir) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-tight; a little cherry; some burnt smoked bacon; big nose, but tight; very young; PALATE-this is outrageously young; the tannins are very aggressive and some heat is coming through in it's youth; but the fruit is extremely pure and delicious; almost chewy -- I want to eat this; this is very big New World Pinot (not Burgundy); lacks a little depth on the finish, but overall, this is a very substantial and enjoyable Pinot Noir; but massively young (at least 4-5 years away); has great potential; this has great structure; very well made Pinot; get on the mailing list; I'm giving this 92+ right now, but the score could score MUCH higher down the line and why I'm giving this a such a range; W&S-96; GV-92/95
